Assistant Solicitors Dropping Like Flies

The Horry County Solicitor's office is under some reconstruction as of late.  Just recently there has been three resignations of senior assistant solicitor's in the Solicitor's office.  While one is attributed directly to a DUI charge, the others seem to have resigned for other reasons.  Within the last year there have been at least two other senior assistant solicitor's who have also resigned, one of which was the deputy assistant solicitor.  And rumor has it that another is planning to quit.  My opinion is one thing being that I also worked for the solicitor's office in Georgetown, which admittedly was not a good fit for me or the solicitor's office, but it is becoming apparent that there may be trouble in paradise.  I cannot imagine who could take over and Greg Hembree has done an outrageous job over the course of his stay as Solicitor for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit.  Maybe just a new internal adjustment.  What does this mean for criminal defense attorneys?  Means getting to know new assistant solicitors, establishing a rapport, dealing with young fresh out of law school attorneys and going through the process all over again.
